Wreck at Mike Lyman's Dock

September 20, 1895

The location of this pier is not noted.  This vessel, which probably was a full rigged ship, was once a veteran of the Maine lumber trade.  In the bow are square ports for loading and unloading lumber.  When fitted for sea the ports would be sealed.  This ship, probably 50 years old in this photo, was dragged in on a high moon tide and used for storage.  Note the thirteen state flag in the sloop in background.
