Alice Austen House Education Coordinator, Artist Lee Donlon- Cyanotype Workshop
Come and learn one of the oldest photographic printing processes – the cyanotype. Invented in 1842 by astronomer Sir Arthur Herschel, cyanotype involves exposing a photosensitive solution to sunlight, creating an image in a distinctive cyan blue tone. This process requires little equipment, allows for endless experimentation, and above all is fun! Together with artist Lee Donlon, we will be creating cyanotype photograms in our garden. The workshop is open to all ages and all levels of photographic experience. All materials will be provided.
