Alice Austen House Annual Gala and Benefit

Join us for our annual Gala and Benefit! This year, we are celebrating at the iconic National Arts Club to recognize the extraordinary accomplishments of two individuals in documenting the history of LGBTQ+ people. 

ERIC MARCUS is the creator and host of the award-winning Making Gay History podcast. He is also founder and chair of the Stonewall 50 Consortium.

JOAN E. BIREN (JEB), is an internationally recognized photograper, documentary artist and activist. JEB will recieve the Alice Austen Award for Advancement in Photography. 

Eric Marcus will interview JEB at this event, and record this oral history.

Host Committee: Donald Moffett, Robert Gober, Mitchell Grubler and Paol Moakley. 

Cocktail hour begins at 6:30pm, followed by the dinner program at 8pm.
