Every year the Alice Austen House Museum offers a great chance for children and teens to have fun with photography, history, and social etiquette by hosting educational summer camps. 



2014 Camps


Fun With Pinhole and Digital Photography ages 6 - 13

July 21 - July 25, 2014
9:30am - 12:00 noon
Students will be introduced to the fundamentals and elements of photography in order to take great shots! Bring your own camera or use ours. We will make our own pinhole cameras and learn traditional darkroom techniques. Join us for a fun photo experience! Materials included.


Social Etiquette Through Fun and Games ages 6-13

July 28 - August 1, 2014
9:30am - 12:00 noon
This program introduces children to the skills they need for most any social situation, including: common courtesies, table manners, etiquette in public places, greetings, appropriate host and guest behaviors, and dress and grooming for all occasions. We play lots of games including croquette and spud! Lots of fun and terrific for development of social and communication skills!
